For more than a century, the exciting and competitive spirit of athletics has been a significant part of campus life at the University of Connecticut. That spirit, known as Huskymania, involves a deep sense of pride in the achievements of our student-athletes on and off the playing fields and venues.

The UConn Division of Athletics hosts 24 intercollegiate sports that compete at the NCAA Division 1-A level, including basketball, football, soccer, ice hockey, baseball, field hockey, track and cross country, swimming and tennis.

A founding member of the Big East Conference, UConn has won eight NCAA Championships since 1990 and nearly 80 Big East regular season or tournament championships.
