School of Social Work
UConn’s School of Social work promotes curiosity, innovation and research as it prepares students to aid those who are affected by oppression, violence and poverty. Faculty members are lauded for their service to the community and expertise in practice and research.
External funding for research projects has increased for the School of Social Work as it evaluates human service programs and undertakes research on child welfare, substance abuse, domestic violence, end-of-life care and other critical social issues.
UConn is the only public university in New England to offer a social work doctorate program. This accomplishment highlights the University's invaluable impact on the quality of higher education in Connecticut and beyond.
