Saturday, 4/26/14 The CANR’s Department of Animal Science will be holding its Annual Spring Horse Auction and Tack & Equipment Tag Saleat the Horsebarn Hill Arena, Storrs. The horse preview starts at 11:00 a.m.; Horse Auction begins at 1:00 p.m. The Tag Sale will take place all day in the Arena beginning at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the auction of UConn horses will be used to fund the UConn Equine Program. Calling all green thumbs! The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will be selling compost to the public beginning Friday, May 2, 2014. Sale hours are Fridays, from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. and Saturdays 10:30am to 4:30pm., WEATHER PERMITTING. All sales are cash only. The compost facility is located at 1396 Stafford Rd.(Rt 32) about one mile north of Rt. 44. Look for the signs to the compost facility located on Rt.32.
