Embrace your surroundings.
Storrs is a town-within-a-town, and there’s plenty here to make you feel at home. A diverse community, countless activities and forms of entertainment, and UConn Husky sporting events are just the tip of the iceberg.
Make our large community smaller by getting involved in a club or organization, or by living among your peers with common interests in one of our Learning Communities. Learn about other cultures through our five cultural centers.
Of course, what’s college without some fun? At UConn, we offer plenty of popular, safe, and free activities right here on campus. With a movie theater, game room, TV lounges, and a food court, the Student Union has it all. Rather view an art exhibit or check out a stand-up comedian? We’ve got that, too. Dozens of open mics, plays, and concerts provide a much-deserved break.
We have dining options for every taste, ranging from buffet-style dining halls and take-out “Grab-N-Gos” to sit-down restaurants and fast food and “fast casual” chains. The addition of Storrs Center, a new downtown full of shops and restaurants, has livened up the area even more.
Besides all that, our picturesque campus is a beautiful place to explore.
